Vincent Barnes is a senior advisor at Gray Global Advisors. He assists in the development and implementation of government affairs and business advisory strategies on behalf of a wide variety of clients including municipalities, private sector companies, trade associations and nonprofit organizations. Mr. Barnes has over 20 years of government affairs, private sector, regulatory and legislative experience. Prior to joining Gray Global Advisors, Mr. Barnes served as chief executive of Rebirth of Englewood Community Development Corporation, a leading Chicago community development effort. He has served as legislative counsel for Congressman Bobby Rush (IL-01). Mr. Barnes also worked as senior legislative counsel with the American Bankers Association, where he worked on the Dodd-Frank Act and resulting regulatory issues, including housing finance. His financial services work also includes U.S. House Commerce Committee work on Gramm-Leech-Bliley. Mr. Barnes has been featured in Black Enterprise Magazine and has presented at the Harvard Business School and the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He holds a JD from the University of Utah College of Law and a B.A. from Brigham Young University.
