Rolando Arrieta is vice president of Broadcast, National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and manager of News Operations, NPR. As a radio producer for nearly 20 years, Rolando has produced countless music documentaries and features for cultural programs. He was part of the producer team that won a George Foster Peabody award for "Reporting From The Frontlines: The Ebola Outbreak in West Africa." Rolando is recipient of the Fulbright Distinguished Chair Award and has taught radio production at Catholic University in Porto, Portugal, and at American University. He has and continues to play an instrumental role in the field or at broadcast headquarters during major breaking news stories as recent as the Boston marathon bombing, the past two presidential elections, the Haiti earthquake and Hurricane Katrina. Rolando also coordinates and co-conducts an audio storytelling workshop for U.S. minority journalism organizations.
