Mike Mullen joined the National Association of Broadcasters in March of 2006 as director of Government Relations and has since been promoted to vice president. As a member of the Government Relations team, Mike actively pursues NAB's legislative agenda before the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives to protect and preserve free over-the-air broadcasting. Prior to NAB, Mike worked on a variety of issues on Capitol Hill for nearly a decade with a primary focus on healthcare and telecommunications policy. Most recently, Mike worked for Rep. Mike Doyle (PA-14), who served on the Energy and Commerce Committee's Telecommunications and Internet Subcommittee. Prior to his work for Rep. Doyle, Mike worked for Reps. Nick Lampson (TX-22) and Jim Turner (TX-02). Mike began his political career at the Democratic National Committee research department and later moved to Texas to work on Nick Lampson's successful 1996 campaign for Congress. Mike received his B.S. degree in political science from James Madison University in 1996. He is a native of Arlington, Va., and currently resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife Erin and two daughters.
