After serving more than 27 years in various positions at Schurz Communications, Marci Burdick was named senior advisor at Schurz Communications in 2016 upon the company's sale of its TV and radio assets. She joined Schurz in 2003, and was a news director in Missouri and general manager in Georgia before being promoted to senior vice president of Broadcasting and Cable in 2003. Burdick's media career began when she was 18. As a reporter and news manager, Marci's excellence has been awarded several times. Among her many accolades are state broadcast association awards, national and regional Edward R. Murrow awards, the Tom Brokaw Award from the South Dakota Broadcast Association, the RTDNA Leadership Award, regional Emmy awards and the national Iris Award. Burdick has been elected to lead several industry organizations, including chairman of RTDNA, the NBC Affiliates Board and the NAB TV Board. Marci and her husband currently reside in Michigan and have four children and six granddaughters.
