Greg Morrison

Greg Morrison is a recently retired assignment editor for the Affiliate Content Center at CNN. He is also the owner and executive producer for Bumper2Bumpertv and Griotworks Inc. He did his undergraduate studies at Lincoln University, Pa., - 1967-1969, University of Pittsburgh-1969, University of the District of Columbia 1969- 1971 and he majored in Political Science. Greg Morrison has been a journalist for CNN twice in his career, the first from 1982-1985 and returning to the network in 2006. In the interim, he worked as producer and assignment editor at WXIA-TV Atlanta, managing editor at WRIC-TV Richmond, Va., a freelance correspondent for BET News, a bureau coordinator at NBC News Atlanta and news director at Black Family Channel. Greg Morrison has a background in radio news in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. His television career includes New Jersey Public Television and WALA-TV in Mobile, Ala., as a reporter and anchor. He is a founding member of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists and has been an active member of NABJ since 1980. Greg also served in various offices for the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists including treasurer. He served as a mentor and team leader for the NABJ student project and is currently a member of the NABJ Finance committee.
